Cecil College Engineering and Math

Cecil College Engineering and Math

The new Engineering and Math Building at Cecil College is a 28,450 square foot, 3-story building that achieved USGBC LEED Gold certification. Landmark was selected by the landscape architect to provide the site design features relating to the stormwater management system. Environmental site design included multiple stormwater facilities including bioretention facilities, bioswales, a wet pond, and a coastal plain outfall. Additional green technology stormwater practices included a green roof system and cisterns for greywater reuse.

Landmark worked as part of a multidisciplinary design team and provided all civil engineering design for on-site storm drains, water and sewer facilities, stormwater management facilities, and erosion and sediment control plans, and obtained site approvals and permits through the Town of North East (water allocation request), Cecil County, Maryland State Highway Administration, and Maryland Department of the Environment. Coordinated design efforts with the project architect and landscape architect.
