John Archer School (HCPS)

John Archer School (HCPS)

John Archer School is an elementary school for special needs and handicap students in the Harford County Public Schools in Bel Air, Maryland. Landmark performed site plan and pavement repair plans in support of a new handicap-accessible playground. Extensive ADA grade checks, school access remediation, and a conceptual plan for parking expansion was performed at the Maryland school.

Under a multi-year, Harford County On-Call Architectural and Civil Site Design contract, Landmark performed civil engineering tasks for remedial site improvements at Harford County Public Schools as a part of the Architect’s team, and worked closely with the Owner and the various county departments to address the Owner’s needs for the site work and to achieve project approvals and permits. The scope of work included site design for ADA accessibility and site improvements. Work involved site layout, grading, construction documents, permitting and agency processing for ADA upgrades, paving, drainage, parking lot, and playground improvements.
