Ted Williams is a registered professional engineer in the states of Delaware and Pennsylvania. He is a principal and serves as President and Chairman of the Board of Landmark Science & Engineering. His expertise comes from over 45 years of experience performing comprehensive civil engineering design and project management for various types of land development, transportation and construction projects.
Ted specializes in planning, site design, and traffic impact studies for large, private-sector mixed-use commercial, office, retail, residential, and industrial sites, as well as for public sector educational and institutional projects throughout Delaware, Maryland and southeastern Pennsylvania. Clients benefit from his deep knowledge of zoning codes and land use matters and his proven success with agency processing, public hearings and plan approvals for complex development projects.
Mr. Williams earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree, with a specialization in Transportation, from Drexel University. His commitment to his profession is evidenced by his public service as Chairman of the Delaware Council on Transportation (COT), an advisory panel appointed by the Governor that sets transportation priorities and reviews and approves the Capital Improvement Program, and is a Trustee of the ACEC Business Insurance Trust (BIT). He has served as president of the Committee of 100, chairman of the State’s Transportation Trust Fund Task Force, and was national chairman of the American Council of Engineering Companies – the voice of America’s engineering industry representing more than 600,000 engineers, architects, land surveyors and other specialists in 52 Member Organizations. Mr. Williams was recipient of the Delaware Engineer of the Year award in 2020 by the NSPE/DE, was elected to the College of Fellows of ACEC in 2011 and was inducted to the Order of the Engineer in 2015. He and his wife, Karen, live in Wilmington, Delaware, where they raised a son and daughter and now enjoy grandchildren. Ted enjoys gardening, golfing, and splitting time between their New Castle County and Sussex County homes.
