Pulaski Highway Natural Gas Main

Pulaski Highway Natural Gas Main

Landmark provided topographic survey, wetland delineation, permitting, and utility design for nearly six-miles of 6-inch steel gas transmission main extension along Pulaski Highway (US Route 40). The project to connect one natural gas transmission system in New Castle County, Delaware to a proposed substation at Nottingham Road in Cecil County, Maryland was completed on behalf of the owner, Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company, a subsidiary of Chesapeake Utilities.

Landmark Scientists delineated the non-tidal wetlands and waters within designated study area and submitted detailed project descriptions and notifications to the USACE, DNREC and MDE. The scientists and project engineer worked closely to design an alignment that avoided wetland and water impacts associated with Big Elk Creek and Little Elk Creek. This project required coordination with Cecil County Planning & Zoning, the Town of Elkton, and Chesapeake Bay Critical Area Commission.
