Marydale Retirement Village

Marydale Retirement Village

The Marydale Retirement Village is a 108-unit apartment retirement community located on an 18-acre site off Salem Church Road in Newark.  Originally constructed in 1981 as an independent living community, the renovation project completed in 2018 involved a conversion so that 50% of the units would meet ADA-accessibility codes and also provided for ADA-accessible routes to all units. The residential complex for low-income seniors is managed by the Diocese of Wilmington’s Catholic Charities through Catholic Ministry to the Elderly, Inc.

Landmark provided planning and site design, topographic surveys for ADA accessibility compliance, permits and agency processing for the project.
