Caesar Rodney High Tennis Courts
Landmark was selected by the owner for their expertise and reputation with the design of athletic sports facilities and tennis court renovations to provide all planning and design to renovate existing tennis courts with eight (8) newly reconstructed courts. The new courts were required to meet stringent United States Tennis Association (USTA) standards, with a hot-mix surface, new nets, posts, and striping. The project took just five (5) months to complete and included a $15,000 grant from the USTA.
Landmark performed land surveying of seven existing tennis courts and design for eight new courts in the same location. To meet USTA standards, the courts had to be regraded to stay within a required slope range. The surrounding areas had to be regraded to ensure proper drainage with the new courts. Construction included removing the existing court surface, adding base material where needed, installing a new court surface and adding a path outside of the courts for ADA handicap accessibility.
