Meridian Crossing and Meridian Crossing II, a neo-traditional residential development of 788 multi-use lots including single family residences, twins, townhomes, condos, and apartments, is located near U.S. 40 in Bear, Delaware. This former gravel pit reclamation project was designed as a walkable community with easy access to a nearby public elementary school, shopping centers, and mass transit. It also has an on-site day care facility and recreational areas including multiple fields and courts, clubhouse and swimming pool. The neighborhood has a one-mile walking trail and over 10 miles of sidewalks. Seven interconnected stormwater management ponds keep water levels balanced and double as a visual with a planned fountain and walking bridge.
