Calvert Regional Park
Cecil County’s new Calvert Park is a 112-acre park located at 211 Brick Meetinghouse Road in North East, Maryland. The public facility is being developed as a regional, passive-active, sports destination park, offering a broad array of recreational uses.
Landmark led a multidisciplinary design team provided in the master concept planning for the phased development of the park, and performed surveys, traffic impact study, environmental site assessment, forest conservation, wetlands delineation, bog turtle investigation, site design for athletic fields, trails, basketball and tennis courts, and park roadways. An economic development study was completed as part of the project to evaluate the potential as a sports destination park.
Site construction plans and all agency processing were completed for construction of the first phase. Park amenities will include one synthetic turf football/soccer field, walking trails, basketball and tennis courts as well as a future splash park, dog park, and storage and concessions stand buildings in Phases II or III.
