“For me, civil engineering is a means by which I can help improve lifestyles for people. Whether helping to create jobs or building a more vibrant county tax base through the development of commercial projects, or working on parks and recreation and municipal projects, I enjoy being able to contribute to the development of a more positive environment for the betterment and welfare of the public. I am very gratified when I see people playing on soccer and other athletic fields, walking on trails, or relaxing in parks I’ve had a hand in designing. This is civil engineering!”
